Five Amazing days in Moab Utah

Why come to Moab, without experiencing the ultimate in Mountain Biking?

View of the Colorado, atop the Slickrock trail near Shrimp Rock (Yes, there is a fairly precipitous cliff right behind me).

Mom Sego offered to watch the kiddos so we could go on this trip. We've been wanting to go to Moab for some time, and finally had the opportunity. We rode several trails, covering well over 40 miles on our bikes, and hiked in Arches National Monument as well. We had an amazing time, and will probably be one of our most memorable trips ever.
(Seen here we are standing atop Gemini Bridges)

On the Klondike Bluffs: a very cool bike adventure over slick rock and single track. The place is loaded with dinosaur tracks as seen above.

We spent an entire day at Arches National Park. Behind us is "landscape arch", which spans the length of a football field, and looks like it could collapse at any moment.

"Delicate Arch"...the trademark Utah logo...

Muffin enjoying one of many panoramic views from the slickrock bluffs above Moab.

We highly recommend trying this little cafe on main street in Moab. The food is good...and the name pretty much says it all...

Just me again...chaffing myself raw on the saddle. "Just can't get enough."

Oh yeah! Cruising on the rocks...

The thing that is difficult to appreciate in pictures is how steep the ascents are, as well as the descents! Ask Muffin, she came home with a new respect for road rash and the uncanny ability of her front brakes to send you flying over your handlebars. All told though, she was a Shebeast on the climbs, and completed a very difficult "advanced" course...

Dressed for the occasion. Moab style...

Graduation vacation complete! Good for the body, mind, and soul!
