August 2003 / San Diego , Colorado

Dallin loves to read. He would sit on my lap for hours if I let him.

Our first home on Tolleson Avenue Albuqueruqe NM

We finally finished landscaping the back yard

Uncle Steve and Aunt Laura. We went backpacking with them in the Unitas. It was a memorable experience. Laura was newly pregnant and not feeling well, but she was a trooper.

It was so scenic and peaceful

A hike to Ruybalie Lake with Dave and my Dad up the Conejos Valley in Colorado. Dallin stayed at home with my Mom for a week while we were back packing with Steve and Laura and in Colorado with my Dad. Mom has been a great help to us since Dallin was born. She is always willing and wanting to watch him. What a blessing she is in our lives.

I treasure this picture of me and my dear Daddy. He is the reason I love the outdoors so much. He introduced us kids to hiking when we were each about 3 0r 4 years old and were made to hike many miles at altitudes of 10,000ft. Many times we hiked up to the tops of peaks...not easy for little kids. I loved these child hood hikes and got really lucky to marry and outdoors-man.

The breath taking view of Conejos Valley

This is the house Dave grew up in Bonita California, and the house he took me home to to meet his family. It is a lovely home, with a beautiful back yard. It is about 10min drive from the beach. The weather is a dream year round with temperatures in the 70's. A few years after this picture was taken, Dave's Dad sold this home for over $600,000 and moved inland. To this day I still miss this home and its prime location in San Diego.

Here we are at the Zoo taking a ride high above the park to get from one end to the other. The San Diego zoo is enormous!

At the beach

As we traveled to San Diego we stopped at the Arizona temple in Mesa. We just about melted from the heat. Its hard to believe that anyone would want to live in those temperatures.
